Welcome

This is a resource sharing practical tools, prompts, and tutorials for engaging with basic, small-scale GenAI training with students in arts learning contexts.

The prompts and provocations are designed to foster critical, creative, and ethical thought around genAI for learners with diverse perspectives about these systems and technologies.

I have taught this material with undergraduate students in an Art Education course, but it is adaptable to other contexts - and I am interested to see how folks do so!

The tools and processes used in this activity are chosen to be accessible, free, and secure, and to have a relatively small environmental footprint. As with all art materials and technologies however, the ones used here carry their own compromises and complications.

While I and the students I work with have used these tools without any issues, I am not responsible for any problems you have with your devices or data that result from use, misuse, or experimentation with these tools.
